Car Rental Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

   Welcome to Sandy Feet car rental & Chauffeur services. By making a reservation, renting a vehicle, or using our website, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

2. Eligibility

   To rent a vehicle, the renter must:

   • Be at least 25 years of old.
   • Hold a valid driving licence for the required period as per applicable laws.
   • Provide a valid government-issued identification document.
   • Present a valid payment method for booking and security purposes.

   We reserve the right to refuse any rental if eligibility requirements are not met.

3. Reservations

   • Reservations are subject to vehicle availability.
   • Booking confirmation does not guarantee a specific vehicle model but guarantees a vehicle within the selected category or an equivalent.
   • We reserve the right to substitute a similar vehicle if the selected model is unavailable.

4. Rental Period

   The rental period begins when the vehicle is collected and ends when it is returned and inspected by our team.

   Late returns may result in additional rental charges. If you require an extension, please contact us before your rental period expires.

5. Payments

   Rental charges may include:

   • Vehicle rental fee
   • Security deposit
   • Taxes and applicable government fees
   • Optional services and accessories
   • Additional mileage charges (where applicable)
   • Fuel charges
   • Traffic fines or toll fees incurred during the rental period

   Full payment or an approved deposit may be required before vehicle collection.

6. Security Deposit

   A refundable security deposit may be required before vehicle handover. The deposit may be used to cover:

   • Vehicle damage
   • Missing accessories
   • Cleaning charges for excessive dirt or smoking
   • Fuel shortages
   • Traffic violations
   • Unpaid rental fees

   Any remaining balance will be refunded after inspection, subject to company policy.

7. Vehicle Usage

   The rented vehicle must only be used for lawful purposes.

   The following activities are prohibited:

   • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
   • Reckless or dangerous driving
   • Racing or speed competitions
   • Off-road driving unless specifically authorised
   • Commercial transportation without approval
   • Subleasing or allowing unauthorised drivers to operate the vehicle
   • Transporting illegal goods or engaging in unlawful activities

   The renter is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is operated safely at all times.

8. Authorised Drivers

   Only drivers listed and approved in the rental agreement may operate the vehicle. Additional drivers may require approval and may incur extra charges.

9. Fuel Policy

   Fuel policy is Full to Full. If returned with less fuel, refuelling charges and service fees may apply.

10. Mileage

    Unlimited mileage for all rentals.

11. Vehicle Condition

    The renter should inspect the vehicle before leaving the rental location and report any existing damage.

    The vehicle must be returned in substantially the same condition, excluding reasonable wear from normal use.

12. Accidents and Damage

    In the event of an accident, theft, or damage:

    • Notify us immediately.
    • Contact the appropriate local authorities if required.
    • Do not admit liability on behalf of the company.
    • Cooperate fully with insurance and incident reporting procedures.

    Failure to report incidents promptly may affect liability.

13. Insurance

    Insurance coverage, where included, is subject to the insurer's terms, conditions, exclusions, and deductibles.

    The renter remains responsible for any liability not covered under the applicable insurance policy.

14. Traffic Violations

    The renter is solely responsible for all traffic fines, parking penalties, toll charges, and legal violations incurred during the rental period. Administrative processing fees may also apply.

15. Breakdown Assistance

    If the vehicle experiences a mechanical breakdown not caused by misuse or negligence, please contact our support team immediately. We will make reasonable efforts to provide assistance or a replacement vehicle where available.

16. Cancellations and Refunds

    Cancellation policies may vary depending on the booking type.

    Refund eligibility will be determined according to the cancellation terms applicable at the time of reservation.

    No refunds may be provided for unused rental days unless required by law or approved by management.

17. Early Return

    Returning a vehicle before the scheduled rental end date does not automatically qualify for a refund unless specifically stated in the booking terms.

18. Personal Belongings

    We are not responsible for personal items left inside rented vehicles or at our premises.

19. Privacy

    Personal information collected during the booking and rental process is used only for providing our services, processing payments, legal compliance, and improving customer experience. We take reasonable measures to protect your information.

20. Limitation of Liability

    To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use or inability to use the rented vehicle.

21. Changes to Terms

    We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions become effective once published on our website.

22. Governing Law

    These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the rental agreement is executed. Any disputes shall be subject to the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
